Vice President

Tunku Alia Naquiyuddin

Tunku Alia is Malaysian and lives in KL. She is the daughter of YAM Tunku Naquiyuddin ibni Tuanku Ja’afar. She has a 10 year old son who is currently schooling in British International School (BSKL.). She has been an active member since 2024.
 
Tunku Alia is passionate about people and cultures and enhancing and bringing together communities from all walks of life. She loves  organizing and communicating events that celebrate the unique blend of British and Malaysian cultures. She also loves to write journals, sing, dance, and play the piano. She believes that in today's day and age, a positive outlook is the way


Tunku Alia has been closely involved in the development of the MBS. She is a community conscious person. Additionally, she is recruting people to join in the MBS family to bring people together. She also organized varios MBS events, which all  turned out to be a memorable moments!

 

She is currently writing a book.

Dato' Nicholas Pinder, DIMP.

Nick is a British Expat active in the Malaysian business and social communities. Nick has produced numerous concerts and theatrical productions. Additionally, he is the Editor of Homme Magazine, a popular online digital lifestyle publication. Also known for his extensive charitable work, having created a CSR programme to support various foundations and organizations in Malaysia. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah ibni Almarhum Sultan Abu Bakar Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mu’azzam Shah the seventh Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia bestowed the DARJAH INDERA MAHKOTA PAHANG (D.I.M.P) in June, 2014

 

His CSR programme, set up to help and assist charities and foundations in their fundraising initiatives and public awareness programmes, to date, it's successfully supported:

Sam Marsden

Sam is a Malaysian professional working in expat financial services, with a background in guiding international clients through wealth management and financial planning. With over five years of experience in the sector, Sam thrives on connecting with people from all walks of life and helping them navigate life abroad with confidence.

Having grown up in Malaysia and worked across multicultural environments, Sam brings both local insight and global perspective to the MBS community. Inspired by MBS’s mission of fostering meaningful connections through shared experiences, Sam joined to contribute both personally and professionally to a space where cultures and stories intertwine.

 
Outside of work, Sam is a passionate boxer, dedicating time to the sport for both discipline and health. He also enjoys cultural exchange, storytelling, and the arts. He believes in building bridges through shared interests and is especially enthusiastic about events that showcase Malaysian and British traditions side by side.


Sam supports initiatives that promote engagement among younger professionals and enjoys taking part in organizing events that bring new energy to the MBS community. He aims to help expand MBS’s reach among working professionals and encourage participation through inclusive, dynamic programming.
